Search engine optimisation for businesses that need new clients

Search engine optimisation is the work of getting your website into a good position on Google and other search engines, so that visitors arriving from search turn into quote requests, orders and new clients. We work on this together with you. We take it on for businesses that need new customers, whether they sell to other businesses or to private individuals. We work nationwide, and because the work is done online, it doesn't matter whether your business is based in Budapest or at the other end of the country.

01

What does search engine optimisation involve, and what can you achieve with it?

Search engine optimisation (SEO for short) covers all the work that helps search engines understand your website better and rate it more highly. When someone types a question into Google, the search engine ranks the pages that could be relevant. Where you appear in that ranking depends on three things: how clearly the search engine can tell what your page is about, how well it answers what the visitor is looking for, and how trustworthy it considers it. Trustworthiness is signalled, among other things, by links pointing to you from other websites; building these is called link building (backlinks).

Search engine optimisation gets you into the organic results, the part of the page where you don't pay per click for your position. People who arrive from there were looking for exactly what you offer. For a machine parts distributor, this might be a buyer searching for an exact part number; for a dental practice, someone looking for a dentist nearby. Both are about to make a decision and will choose from the first few results.

If the work goes well, you'll get more relevant visitors, more quote requests and phone calls, and you'll build a presence that remains even when the advertising budget runs out. Having a website isn't enough. Your site works for your business when it is also found by people who don't know you yet.

02

What is included in the work, and what isn't?

For us, search engine optimisation brings together five areas. All five are needed for your ranking to improve, rather than just one isolated detail being in order.

  • Strict adherence to the rules of the web

Google and the other search engines describe what kind of page they consider good and what they penalise. We only use methods that comply with this, so your ranking doesn't depend on some trick that the next search engine update could sweep away.

  • Internal linking

we link your subpages together so that both visitors and search engines can easily reach the important pages. You can see an example of this on this very page, and you can browse more of our work among our SEO results.

  • Deliberate allocation of keywords

through keyword research we find out which words your prospective clients use to search, and we assign one page to each important term so that your own pages don't compete with each other for the same spot.

  • Well-written copy and articles

in our copywriting, we make sure the text is clear to search engines and convincing to readers, so that by the end they know what the next step is.

  • Continuous content updates

search engines rate well-maintained, regularly expanded websites more highly, so the work continues after the initial setup.

Buying advertising space is not part of search engine optimisation: that is the territory of Google Ads, which we cover in more detail below. Nor do we promise that you will be in first place by a specific date, because the order is ultimately decided by the search engine. What we do commit to is that everything that depends on us and on your website works towards a better ranking.

03

Why do we build search-optimised websites from the outset?

For us, search engine optimisation starts when the website is being built. We build new websites with a structure that Google can easily interpret from the start: what each subpage is about, what the main content is and what is supplementary, and how the pages connect to one another. All our websites are responsive (mobile-friendly), meaning they are easy to use on a phone too – today this is a basic expectation of both search engines and visitors.

A sheet of paper lying on a desk with a structural sketch of a website: the home page box at the top, the subpage boxes below, with arrows between them.

If search engine optimisation only starts on a site that is already finished, the structure often has to be reworked too: subpages need merging or splitting, headings rewriting and the menu rearranging. That means more work, and existing rankings can wobble in the meantime. We save you this patching up afterwards by planning the structure with search engines in mind from the very beginning. If you are planning a new site now, you can read in detail about how we work on our website design page.

We don't publish our exact methodology – just as nobody knows the recipe of Hungarian winter salami, yet we all enjoy it. What matters to you is what you can see from the outside: better rankings, more visitors, and more of them becoming clients.

04

Google, Bing and Yahoo: where do you appear, and why does ranking matter?

In Hungary, most people search with Google, so that is where the work is focused. On many computers, however, Bing is the default search engine because it is built into Windows and the Microsoft Edge browser, and Yahoo's results are largely based on Bing's data. B2B buyers working on company computers in particular often search with Bing without having consciously chosen it.

Fortunately, all three search engines follow the same basic principles: they reward a clear structure, text that answers the search, and a trustworthy website. Whatever improves your ranking on Google also works in your favour in Bing and Yahoo results, and we take this into account throughout the work.

Ranking matters because most clicks go to the top of the results list. Few people go on to the second page, and those who do have often already rephrased their search. For your business this is a very tangible difference: if you are among the first few results, enquiries from search come to you; if you are further down, they go to your competitors.

05

What does the price depend on, and when will you see results?

There is no one-size-fits-all price for search engine optimisation, because the amount of work is rarely the same for two businesses. We don't sell off-the-shelf packages: the quote is put together from what your website and your market need. The price and the timeframe are mainly determined by the following:

  • the current state of your website, and whether it was built with a search-optimised structure from the outset or that needs to be fixed too;
  • how many services or products you have, and how many separate pages they need;
  • how strong the competition is for the terms that matter to you;
  • whether you want to appear nationwide or mainly in one city or region;
  • how much text needs to be written or rewritten, and how often it needs to be updated.

Nor do we give everyone the same figure for when results will come. The first changes appear once the search engine has reprocessed the modified pages. Building a stable, good ranking typically takes months, and longer still where competition is strong. This is in the nature of the work: a search engine decides gradually, based on many signals, how far it trusts a website. In return, the ranking you gain is more lasting than the effect of a short campaign.

06

How we work together, from your first enquiry to a good position

The process is similar for every business, but the emphasis depends on your website and your goals:

  1. Step

You get in touch and tell us what you offer, to whom, and where you would like more clients.

  2. Step

We review your website: its structure, its copy, its internal links, and whether it complies with search engine rules.

  3. Step

Using keyword research, we map out which terms your prospective clients search for and which page each term should belong to.

  4. Step

We sort out the structure and the internal linking. If a new page is needed, we create it in a search-optimised form from the start.

  5. Step

We write or rework the copy so that it is clear to both search engines and visitors.

  6. Step

We update the content regularly, track how your rankings develop, and tell you what we see and what the next step is.

The last point is the essence of long-term cooperation. We won't leave you on your own, and we don't send Excel spreadsheets without explanation: every report shows what has changed, why, and what is worth doing next. Facts are stubborn things and there's no point arguing with them, so we base our decisions on data.

07

How do SEO, Google Ads and Google My Business reinforce each other?

Search engine optimisation, Google Ads and Google My Business serve the same goal: making sure you are found when someone needs you. Each gets there in a different way, which is why they work best together.

Google Ads appear as soon as the campaign is launched, so they bring in visitors even while the results of search engine optimisation are still building up. The ads quickly reveal which terms actually generate quote requests, and we use this knowledge in the SEO work too. And where your organic ranking is already strong, the advertising budget can be reallocated to where it is needed more.

Google My Business (now called Google Business Profile) brings your company to the fore in map and local searches. If your customers search within a town or area, it is often the first thing they see of you. We have built up a lot of experience in this field: over the years we have managed more than 2,000 Google My Business accounts, and we currently look after more than 600 accounts every day.

Anyone who aligns these three tools makes their business not just visible but reachable too. We present the full online marketing toolkit on a separate page.

Search engine optimisation with us, in brief

  • / 01

The work runs from keyword research through structure, internal linking and copy to ongoing content updates. Buying advertising space is not part of it, but we can also manage your Google Ads and your Google My Business account together with your SEO, all in one place.

  • / 02

There is no flat price. The main factors are the current state of your website, the number of services and the pages they require, the competition, the target area, the amount of text to be written and how often it is updated.

  • / 03

No one can honestly guarantee first place. A stable ranking typically builds up over months, and more slowly where competition is strong.

  • / 04

We work nationwide, and because we work online, it doesn't matter where your business is based. You receive reports with explanations, and we are available for the whole duration of the work.

  • / 05

We don't offer a training course: we do the work on your website ourselves. We have been operating since 2017, and our team members have been working in this field for more than 10 years.

What is SEO – in other words, what does search engine optimisation involve?

The work that results in search engines understanding your website better, rating it more highly and ranking it higher among the organic results. It includes structure, keywords, copy, internal links and ongoing updates – all while following the search engines' rules.

How is search engine optimisation different from advertising?

With advertising, you pay to be shown, and if you stop the campaign, your visibility disappears too. Search engine optimisation makes the website itself fit to be ranked highly by the search engine. It takes longer to start working, but the ranking earned through the work stays yours, and you don't pay separately for clicks.

Can search engine optimisation improve your ranking?

Yes, that is exactly its purpose. How much and how quickly depends on the starting point and the competition: a site with a weak structure and little text usually has a lot of room for improvement, while strong competition takes more time. No one can honestly guarantee first place, but we can track the direction of improvement during the work and show it to you.

Next step

Let's take a look at your website together.

“Professional team, reasonable prices. A high level of expertise :)”

How much needs fixing on your site becomes clear in the second step of the work, when we review its structure, copy and internal links. The price and the expected timeframe also partly depend on this. On the contact page, it's worth telling us your web address, what you offer and to whom, and where you would like more clients, because that is our starting point for the review.
